Combining A Woman of Valor, Mother's Day and Covid 19  - A Humorous approach

Mother's Day is May 10th, which also happens to be my Mom's birthday.  We honor our mothers and other women of valor on that day and rather than get all serious or reflective about it I thought humor, especially in such a serious time as this, is just what we need most.  Here are a few quotes from one of my Mom's favorites, Erma Bombeck.  Enjoy and remember to honor the women in your life.

“Seize the moment. Remember all those women on the 'Titanic' who waved off the dessert cart.”

“When your mother asks, "Do you want a piece of advice?" it's a mere formality. It doesn't matter if you answer yes or no. You're going to get it anyway.”

“I am not a glutton - I am an explorer of food.”

“Worry is like a rocking chair: it gives you something to do but never gets you anywhere.”

“The odds of going to the store for a loaf of bread and coming out with only a loaf of bread are three billion to one."

“All of us have moments in our lives that test our courage. Taking children into a house with a white carpet is one of them. ”

“It goes without saying that you should never have more children than you have car windows.”

“When the going gets tough, the tough make cookies.”

“When humor goes, there goes civilization.”
